Personal Growth Reading Challenge: 2023 Edition!

It's almost a new year and, I don't know about you, but I've been thinking about plans for the next 12 months. That includes what I want to read. This year, I did a year of War and Peace, reading a chapter a day for almost the entire year. It was fun! And now, I'm ready for something different. This year, I'm returning to a reading challenge I did a couple of years ago based on the themes from my book of daily journaling prompts The Year of You: 365 Journal Writing Prompts for Self-DiscoveryA few notes about this reading challenge:

  • I'm aiming for 12 books (one per month) because that feels doable for me. Feel free to adjust your goal based on what works for you.
  • The topics are based on the monthly themes in The Year of You. These are deliberately broad so you can find titles within each topic that speak to you.
  • If a topic doesn't feel relevant, feel free to substitute it for one that does! Life is too short to read books that aren't useful or enjoyable, so feel free to adapt your list of topics to suit your preferences.
  • If you'd like to explore each topic in more depth, you can get a year's worth of daily journaling prompts in The Year of You, which is available in ebook, paperback and, new for this year, auto-narrated audiobook!
